About the Role

We are looking for a Community & Space Host to become part of our team and contribute to the daily life of Impact Hub Athens.

The Host is often the first person our members, partners and visitors meet. Beyond managing the day-to-day operation of the space, the role helps create a welcoming, professional and community-driven environment where people can work, collaborate and connect.

This is a highly hands-on role that combines community support, space operations and event assistance.

Key Responsibilities

Community & Member Experience

  • Welcome members, guests and visitors and ensure a positive experience from arrival to departure.
  • Introduce new members to the space, services and community.
  • Respond to day-to-day requests and support the smooth operation of member activities.
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive and collaborative atmosphere.

Space Operations

  • Open and close the space and ensure all facilities are fully operational.
  • Monitor shared workspaces, meeting rooms, event areas and common facilities.
  • Coordinate and report maintenance needs, technical issues and operational requirements.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness, functionality and safety throughout the premises.

Events & Venue Support

  • Support the preparation and delivery of events hosted at Impact Hub Athens.
  • Set up and reset event spaces according to event requirements.
  • Prepare and operate basic audiovisual equipment, including projectors, microphones and presentation systems.
  • Assist external organisers, speakers and partners during events.
  • Support post-event wrap-up and restoration of spaces.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Assist with basic administrative tasks, communications and internal coordination.
  • Support team members in the smooth delivery of programmes, events and community activities.
  • Maintain operational inventories and ensure the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.

Catering & Hospitality

  • Assist with the setup, coordination and replenishment of catering stations during events.
  • Ensure hospitality areas remain clean, organised and welcoming.
  • Support the preparation and restoration of catering and kitchen areas when required.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong customer service and hospitality mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and solve problems proactively.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Confidence using digital tools such as Google Workspace and everyday office technology.
  • Basic familiarity with audiovisual equipment is considered an asset.
  • Interest in community building, entrepreneurship, innovation and social impact.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to work within one of Greece’s leading innovation and impact communities.
  • A collaborative and purpose-driven working environment.
  • Exposure to entrepreneurs, organisations, creatives and changemakers from Greece and abroad.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development within a global network.

If you are passionate about creating meaningful experiences, supporting communities and helping people connect and thrive, we would love to hear from you.
