This past month we’ve had the joy to have a close friend and collaborator of our extended network visit and work with us, here at Impact Hub Athens. Katerina spent a month in Athens, helping us map youth entrepreneurship in GreeceIn between spreadsheets, notes and painstaking online research, Katerina took a moment to share her thoughts and insights on this project that aspires to build a database for everythingfrom Greek rolemodel social entrepreneurs to educational and mentoring resources, networks, financing sources, experts and a lot more.

Impact Hub is in the forefront, building the Social Impact Ecosystem in Greece. Now, taking a step back to add more visibility and access to the existent entrepreneurship ecosystem. Helping young locals avoid re-inventing the wheel and inspiring them to take entrepreneurship to the next level.

Born in Athens and currently based in London, Katerina is an EU Grants Administrator for research and innovation at the University of Imperial College in London. Prior to that she was an Audit professional dedicated to the not-for-profit sector in the UK working with organizations such as Greenpeace, Refugee Action and the Moshi Foundation. Before that Katerina studied Economics in Greece and completed a triple MSc in Management during which she lived and worked in Greece, France, Singapore, Germany and the UK. During this period she collaborated with several organizations that support high-impact entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs such as Endeavor Greece, The World Entrepreneurship Forum, Social Entrepreneurship Akademie and Ashoka Greece.

The way I see it, Impact Hub’s mapping of youth entrepreneurship in Greece will soon be the go-to-place to find answers to day-to-day entrepreneurial challenges. Doesn’t it make sense to have everything tidied up in one place for everyone?
