The role

Job title: EU Projects’ Assistant (Full-Time, On-site in Athens)

Reports to: Project Managers

Collaborates with: Communications Team, Events Manager, Site Manager

*Please note that the position may involve travel within and outside Greece, depending on the geographical implementation of each programme.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in the implementation and monitoring of project activities and work plans.
  • Track project progress using appropriate project management tools and techniques.
  • Conduct research and gather data to support project initiatives.
  • Coordinate the logistics required for the implementation of project activities.
  • Support the coordination and delivery of events, including meetings, workshops, and other project-related gatherings.
  • Develop and maintain relevant databases and filing systems to ensure the efficient management of information and contacts.
  • Participate in monitoring project progress and identifying potential challenges.
  • Communicate, collaborate, and follow up with project stakeholders and partner organisations.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and other project-related documentation.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including photos, videos, and impact measurement materials.
  • Support the communication and promotion of project activities.

Requirements

  • Relevant work or academic experience in one or more of the following areas: business or operations, communications, performance management, entrepreneurship, or the startup ecosystem.
  • Ability to proactively identify potential issues and suggest effective solutions.
  • A collaborative working style and strong team-player attitude.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, and deadline-driven work environment.
  • Excellent computer and digital skills.
  • Experience in event production will be considered an asset.
  • Experience in international collaborations will be considered an asset.
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of a third language will be considered an asset.
