Andrea Dattoli and Tiziano Salerno are the founders of Archètravel, a tour operator offering cultural and archaeological journeys that uncover the world’s great civilizations.

About You

In one sentence, tell us what you do!
Archètravel is a tour operator specialized in cultural and archaeological tours around the world, focused on the discovery of great civilizations.

How did you get started in this field, and what inspired you?
The idea was born from the meeting between Andrea Dattoli, with his experience organizing trips for major travel companies and Tiziano Salerno, a digital communications expert. We found ourselves united by a vision: to accompany people on a discovery of the world’s cultural wonders.

What is the biggest impact you hope your work will have on the world?
We believe that every journey is a unique experience—one that happens once in a lifetime and changes your perspective forever. It’s an opportunity for cultural and personal growth.

Tell us about a recent project or achievement you are proud of!
Starting from 2024 we have became part of the Italian association ASTOI Confindustria viaggi which includes the main tour operators in terms of sales and number of passengers per year, which is a great goal, considering that we never received external investments.

The Impact Hub Athens & You

What brought you to Impact Hub Athens, and what does this community mean to you?
Our business began in Greece. We moved to the foot of the Acropolis and organized trips to Greece for thousands of people. Our base was immediately the Impact Hub, which we now consider our home; we’ve been members since 2016.

Is there someone or something within Impact Hub that has inspired or supported you?
We partnered with some French guys who work in the tourism sector, who were also members of Impact. We’ve developed working relationships with them and become great friends.

How can the community support or connect with you?
Impact is the safe place for digital nomads and expats looking for a place to find new friends and explore Athens, so meeting moments such as community drinks or lunches are important.

Fun Facts & Inspiration

A fun fact about you that we might not know!
Andrea: At Impact I met my partner with whom I had two children!

A quote that inspires you!
Try to create the life you want, not the one you’re settling for.

One piece of advice you’d give to someone starting their own impact-driven project!
We recommend focusing only on projects and sectors that you are passionate about, without focusing exclusively on the financial return, which in our opinion is a consequence of dedicating your work to what you love.
