We are happy to announce the three winners of this year’s cycle of ClimAccelerator Beyond 2022, held by Impact Hub Athens on December 13, 2022.  

 

 

The Ekinesis startup and their Electra Project received the grand prize of 20K euros. The awarded Electra Project promotes electromobility by suggesting the conversion of diesel trucks to electric vehicles while offering consulting services to optimize the design of the eV charging infrastructure. 

The second prize of 18K euros was awarded to the Embneusys startup for the Ripos Project, a CO2 monitoring platform for the construction sector, which simultaneously provides comprehensive information on health & safety at work, and project progress. 

The third prize of 15K euros was awarded to Electra Energy for the Niro Platform Project, a marketplace of green energy purchases & energy services for consumers and businesses. 

The jury included Dimitris Georgakopoulos, co-founder of the Helidoni Foundation, Anne Nijenhuis, founder of Investing For Purpose, Alexandros Pantziaros, founder of CoffeEco & last year’s participant Spyros Mylonas, founder of Krataion Consulting.  

ClimAccelerator Beyond 2022, in collaboration with the EIT – Climate KIC, offered business support and international networking opportunities to ideas brought by startup companies that work towards the development of sustainable, regenerative, and innovative solutions to protect the environment. A total of fifteen Greek startups, along with 40 other startups from the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Croatia, and Serbia, stood out for their innovative business models. Through workshops, mentoring sessions, and connections with specialists and foreign investment schemes, they embarked on a 12-week hybrid business journey. 

The ClimAccelerator Beyond 2022 closing ceremony was held at the Impact Hub Athens Open Space and included a panel discussion on: “How to mobilize funds to support entrepreneurial action towards a net zero future?”.  

The discussion included insights on entrepreneurial community support and potential synergies, hosting Spyridoula Demiri from the Green Fund, Markos Komondouros, founder & partner of Investing For Purpose, Stavros Tsompanidis, founder of PHEE and Impact Hub Athens co-founder Dimitris Kokkinakis.
